A medical assistant said that accident victims are filling Tonj hospital.
Mary Poni Stephen is a General Medical Assistant at Tonj Hospital. She told Don Bosco FM that there was an increase in road accidents especially with motorbikes.Ms. Poni added that one month ago there was an outbreak of malaria, but now the hospital was dealing mostly with trauma cases from road accidents.
Ms. Poni said the hospital reported to the authorities the increase of accidents and the Traffic Police started inspecting drivers in town.
Tonj streets registered a huge increase of traffic circulation with many tracks carrying goods and returnees between Wau and Rumbek.
