EE MINISTER NAMES GHOST EMPLOYEES ON GOVERNMENT PAYROLL

An Eastern Equatoria minister released the names of fifteen ghost employees discovered in the state’s payroll.

Minister for Public Service and Human Resources Development Emilio William Odingila told the state Assembly yesterday that 15 ghost employees were found after the committee instituted by the Governor reviewed the ministry of Social Development payroll, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Mr. Odingila said the governor ordered the immediate delete of the ghost names from the payroll of the ministry.

Eastern Equatoria state was spending 7,764 Sudanese pounds every month for the past five years with the 15 ghost employees from the Ministry of Social Development.

The payroll verification committee discovered already over 1,200 non-existent employees in the various ministries of the state pay lists during a recent review.
