A team from Miraya FM is expected in Yei on Monday to host a series of debates on the upcoming referendum
Fr. Simon Khamis, public outreach program manager of the Referendum Sub-Committee, told Easter Radio over the phone that the team is to organize debates on referendum issues with a group of youth, women and elders to know what they think about the two options of unity or separation.Fr. Khamis added that the debate would be aired by Miraya FM.
He explained that the radio team would organize the debate in the five payams of Yei County.
Fr. Khamis spoke also about the issue of polling centres in Yei County.
He complained that 14 polling centres were too few for a population of 55.790.
Fr. Khamis added that Lainya County would have 17 centres.
The referendum official urged elders, chiefs and boma administrators to cooperate on the merging of centres not to leave anybody out.
