Arrow Boys help protect civilians from the attacks by Ugandan rebels operating in Western Equatoria, a resident said.
Ganun Victor lives in Yambio town. He told SCR News that vigilante groups commonly known as Arrow Boys are doing a tremendous job to protect the population in western Equatoria state from Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) attacks.Mr. Ganun said the LRA fears the Arrow Boys more than the army.
He explained that the arrow boys use poisoned arrows and local guns that are quite effective.
Mr. Ganun revealed that several LRA rebels were intercepted and killed by the Arrow Boys who operate like silent killers.
Mr. Ganun said LRA activities were reduced in areas were arrow boys carried out their operations protecting the communities.
