The grant which comes second after the first one in July, will empower women economically across the region.
GoSS minister of Gender, child and social welfare Agnes Kwaje Lasuba called on the winners of the award to play a leading role in reducing the level of poverty in their communities.
Ms. Kwaje warned that the grant is a test to find out the capacity and capability of women in southern Sudan.
She added that her ministry in collaboration with partners would continue to enhance income generating activities and provide capacity building to the women across southern Sudan.
The grant is given to the women community based organizations that applied and whose conditions and proposals were approved by the GoSS ministry of Gender, child and social welfare.
The women are expected to invest the money in agricultural and non-agricultural activities.
