A workshop on conflict sensitive reporting started in Rumbek on august 5 2010.
The three-day workshop organized by the Agency for Independent Media (AIM) brought together journalists all over Lakes state.
David Dau, the Chief Executive of the Agency for Independent Media (AIM) told Good News Radio that the workshop is meant for journalists to report accurately in times of conflict. Mr. Dau also added that AIM has carried out a similar workshop in Jonglei State and will carry out many other workshops across Southern Sudan.
Speaking at the opening of the workshop, the Lakes Minister of Information, Marik Nanga Marik, said that the workshop will be of great benefit for the Lakes State journalists.
Lakes State faces many incidences of conflict and journalists need skills to report these cases professionally
