The reality of Sexually Transmitted Diseases and malnutrition in families have astonished Household surveyors in Rumbek.
Ms Mary Akujur Mawat is a supervisor of the Household Survey in Rumbek Central County. She told Good News Radio that they have been astonished by the experiences of the family members they met during the ongoing household health survey.
She said that women have shared with them their problems related to reproduction. Citing miscarriages and Sexually Transmitted Infections, Mary also said that there is general lack of food in most of the houses they have visited.
Ms. Akujur urged families to open up more to the household health surveyors, explaining that the information given will help the government and other relevant institutions to come to their support.
The Household Health survey in Rumbek Central County will go on for 35 days.
