The Catholic Diocese of Torit together with relatives and friends today paid their last respects to Fr. Leon Buga after a weeklong mourning for the priest who died last Tuesday at a hospital in Kampala, Uganda.

The body of the deceased priest Monday arrived Nimule where Fr. Joseph Mawa presided a requiem mass at St. Patrick Parish before proceeding to Loa.
Loa Parish priest, Fr. Julius Idda, told Radio Emmanuel that a requiem mass for Fr. Buga took place yesterday at his parish followed by his burial immediately after the mass.
Fr. Joseph Okelo, the vicar general of the Catholic Diocese of Torit, led the Eucharist and the burial at Loa parish.
The untimely death of Fr. Buga led to the postponement of Torit Diocesan Annual Assembly that started and was immediately adjourned last Tuesday.
