Malakal youth to demonstrate demanding recruitment in NGOs

Youths in Malakal planned to participate in a peaceful demonstration to demand national and international organizations operating in the area to recruit them and dismiss non-Malakal natives from their positions.
One of the youth, 28-year-old, believes they have qualifications required to work with the NGOs instead of employing young people from other parts of Malakal.
He says over 300 employed youth in the region are non-native of Malakal and it is hard to get simple jobs such as driving and cleaners.
Another youth, aged 24 years explains of how unfair it is for the organizations to employ people from others region while many young people are idle in Malakal.
He stresses the youths are not going to use violence like what happened in Maban some days back.
Another 45-year-old youth told CRN that they submitted their request to the UN office, but their demands were not accepted.
The youth requested anonymity to be on the record for security purpose while speaking to CRN on Wednesday after finishing their meeting.
CRN could not reach the UN office in Malakal for statement.
On Monday, group of angry youths attacked the UNHCR and MSF offices in Maban injuring aid workers and destroying properties because of employment non-natives.
