The authorities in Rumbek North and Tonj East counties said Saturday attack has left 9 people confirmed dead and fifteen others wounded, acting commissioner of Rumbek North county Isaiah Akhool told Good News Radio in a telephone Interview on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Police spoke person Major Elijah Mabor Makuac says the fighting that erupted between the cattle keepers from Warrap and Rumbek North counties has caused more destruction in Maper.<\/p>\n
Tonj East County Commissioner John Akook Chan condemns the attack and destruction on government facilities. He calls for calm from both communities.<\/p>\n
Makuac says as per first hands report, eight people were wounded four police officers and four civilians.<\/p>\n
He says that he received the sad news about one of the wounded succumbed to his injuries on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Mabor says the two communities are trading accusation of the others to have started the fighting, Mabor denies the report that police station in maper is also burned to ashes.<\/p>\n
Elijah Mabor says he was told that Luacjang attackers freed thirteen inmates of different cases in the police cells, saying amongst the freed inmates,<\/p>\n
eight men are from Luany-jang and the rest are from Lake state.<\/p>\n
