Episcopal consecration and installation of Monsignor Alex Lodiong Sakor, second Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Yei has been postponed to the second week of May.
Chairperson organizing committee, Fr. Sebastian Pololo Enock, announced the adjournment from the on Sunday at Christ the King Cathedral, Radio Easter reported.
Retired Bishop Erkolano Lodu Tombe explains that Apostolic Nuncio to South Sudan Archbishop Hubertus Matheus Maria van Megen will consecrate the new bishop on 15th May.2022.
He said the postponement followed thorough consultations on the first assistant to the consecration of bishop-elect,
Bishop elect of the catholic diocese of Yei was to be consecrated and install on the 8th .May.2022.
Bishop Lodu encourages the faithful to accept the new changes and continue with the preparation for the installation of Monsignor Alex Lodiong Sakor in the Catholic Diocese of Yei.
The announcement was made on Sunday in Christ the King Cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Yei.
