The Deputy Chairperson of South Sudan Football Association stressed the need for specialized and independent sports media outlets to cover sports news and events.
Andrea Abdalla praised operating media houses for covering sports events but criticized some journalists of reporting un-ethically on sports activities, Voice of Hope reported.He stressed the importance of specialized media to cover sports affairs.
Mr Abdalla explained that the Football Association is preparing to train journalists on sports coverage.
He added that every institution must foster sports activities, especially the media sector.
Mr Abdalla expressed readiness to help organize the Inter-School Sports Competition to be held in Wau next May.
He urged the state ministry of education to give the Sports Associations full mandate to organize competitions.
He was visiting Wau to celebrate Easter.
