The investigation over the murder of columnist Isaiah Abraham on December 4 is ongoing and so far no culprit was found.
Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told journalists on Thursday that the authorities remained committed and the investigation will go on, Bakhita Radio reported. He explained that there are many murders in South Sudan and it is difficult to address all cases.
Dr Marial said the government needed to use its own structures to identify who was behind the murder.
He added that the government strongly condemned the murder and would make sure the killer was identified and brought to the court.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation or FBI sent a team from the USA to investigate the incident but they faced some bureaucratic difficulties.
