SPLM Youth League members will participate in the leadership of the party by 20 percent.
Secretary-General Pagan Amum said in a press conference Monday that the SPLM was targeting a 20-percent youth participation within the party leadership especially those engaged in the party’s Youth League activities.He said the initiative is addressed first to the SPLM youth to participate in the structures of the party and to mainstream women empowerment agenda.
Mr Amum added that the SPLM will also nominate youth candidates not less than 35 percent to participate in local elections like township, payam and boma elections.
