Yei authorities plan to carry out some demolitions in Hawker Market, Sobe Street and Yei Old Park Market areas to step up security to the residents in the area.
Yei River County Juma David Augustine told Radio Easter after conducting a feasibility inspection of the area on Tuesday morning that the demolitions aimed at demarcating the areas in a planned manner to curb insecurity and robberies.A seller at Yei Hawker Market welcomed the initiative that he said would provide the area with good roads and clear plots to build permanent structures.
The county authority said the demolitions should start within this week.
