The health officials in Rumbek town have discovered that the five leprosy and TB patients who were warned to keep off from selling food items have resumed their business.
Makur Ater Akony told Good News Radio on Thursday that the leprosy patients are selling food items with fresh wounds on their hands, while the TB patients were continuously coughing.He said the patients were warned against selling food items because it will infect the healthy people.
Akony warned that any patient found again selling food in the market will face the law because patients with contagious diseases are not authorized to sell foodstuff.
He encouraged his staffs to continue discovering more patients in Rumbek town market as they always go shopping.
