MINISTER URGES ACHOLI COMMUNITY TO GROW MORE FOO

The national Minister for Agriculture and Forestry urged Acholi community of Magwi County to grow more food crops during this rainy season and feed the people in Juba.

Betty Achan Ogwaro called on the community members to start cultivation seriously because the weather forecast for this year is good, Bakhita Radio reported.

She told the community that World Bank is going to construct Magwi-Lobone road so that they easily have access to the market.

Ms Achan She said surveyors are now on the ground and will kick off the work very soon.

Shesaid South Sudan is going under difficult situation and the austerity measures are getting harder

She called on the community members to start clearing their fields so that more food crops are produced.

Mrs Achan added that having enough money is good but it should be spared for other activities as the value continues to lower down.

The minister made this remark on Monday at the last funeral rite of late Fr Michael Okello who passed away last week.
