SOUTH SUDAN JOINS WORLD WOMEN DAY CELEBRATION

South Sudan is joining the world to celebrate on Friday International Women Day under the theme “Gender agenda gaining momentum.”

Gender, Child and Social Welfare national minister Agnes Kwaje Lasuba told the press on Wednesday in Juba that the national celebration was taking place in Bor, Jonglei state, but every state should hold its own event.

She said the aim of taking Women Day celebration from one state to another was to share with their fellow women the challenges and achievements all over the country.

Ms Lasuba called on all the women in South Sudan to celebrate their achievements at all levels.

She added that women had to think about their stories of success and say oyee.
