UNHAS, the UN Humanitarian Air Service run by the World Food Programme in South Sudan, continues to face a funding crisis and current pledges from donors only secure operations until end of April.
OCHA South Sudan weekly Humanitarian Bulletin said the lifesaving air service continued to face funding shortages over the past months, potentially paralyzing the entire aid operation.UNHAS received 4.6 million US Dollars from the US, Spain and Germany, and donors pledged another 4.5 million.
UNHAS requires 3.4 million Dollars per month to operate.
