A reproductive disorder in women, medically called Obstetric Fistula, will be treated for free at Mapourdit Hospital, in Lakes State, early next month.

Dr. Rosario Iannetti, Clinical Director of Mary Immaculate Hospital, Mapourdit, wrote to Good News Radio announcing that the Dr. Rassen of African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) will be attending women suffering from fistula from May 4 to 7.

Dr. Rosario described Obstetric Fistula as a reproductive health problem in women caused by difficulties during child birth, with the mother having no control over her need for short call and long call.

Dr. Rosario appealed to any woman with this problem to visit Mapuordit Hospital for screening and registration between now and April 30.

Dr. Rosario has encouraged mothers with this problem to seize the chance and have their health return to normal.

Dr. Rassen of AMREF has been coming to Mapuordit Hospital for the last three years in the month of April-May.
