Husbands should involve their wives and children in the process of decision making within the family for the sake of peace.
Central Equatoria Cabinet Affairs minister Oba Cicilia said in a press briefing on Wednesday that women and children should be involved in family decision making to improve peace.She urged the community to give women leadership positions especially as court attendants for women’s cases.
Ms Oba said World Women Day was an occasion to empower women to have equal opportunities at all levels from the home to offices.
She decried that some men like undermining women.
Ms Oba called for continued education about the importance of women’s participation in the growth of the nation.
The International Women Day is celebrated on Friday under the theme “A promise is a promise: Time for action to end violence against women.”
