UPPER NILE OPENS PASSPORT, NATIONALITY OFFICE

The Governor of Upper Nile State started on Friday in Malakal the first steps towards the establishment of the office of the Passport and Nationality.

The celebration was attended by numbers of the state ministers, including Police Commissioner James Beil, the speaker of the state legislative assembly and some public, Voice of Love reported.

Passport and Nationality Director General Augustino Madut spoke about the importance of identity documents for every South Sudanese throughout the ten states.

He called upon the workers of the office in the state to put attention on the procedures.

Governor Simon Kun Puoch described the event as historical.

He told citizens to help the workers of the Passport and Nationality Office to make procedures smooth.

Mr Kun urged the national government to provide transport for the office of Passport and Nationality in the state to reach all the counties.
