Yei River County Commissioner appreciated Central Equatoria Government for launching the rehabilitation of Yei-Lasu road last week.
Juma David Augustine extended his gratitude to the state government for taking full responsibility in financing the rehabilitation of Yei-Lasu road that could have been the role of the national government, Radio Easter reported.He said the United Nations-UNHCR failed to support the rehabilitation of the road making it difficult to supply aid to the refugees in Nyori camp, Lasu payam.
Mr Juma appealed to the UNHCR to contribute towards the rehabilitation of the road.
He also thanked the Egyptian government contractor for accepting to sign the contract for what he called a reasonable amount.
