MAGWI LEADS EASTERN EQUATORIA IN PRIMARY EXAMS RESULTS

Eastern Equatoria state ministry of education had released the 2012 primary leaving examination results and Magwi County schools and candidates lead in performance.

Eastern Equatoria state ministry listed eight Magwi County schools among the best ten performing schools and two others from Kapoeta East County, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Best eight of the top ten performing candidates come from two schools: Owinykibul and Abara Primary schools in Magwi County.

Two others were from Helecit in Budi and Green Hill Primary school in Juba.

Nine of the best ten girls also come from at least three primary schools in Magwi with only one from Green Hill in Juba.

St. Thomas and St. Bakhita Primary in Kapoeta East County, Catholic Diocese of Torit founded schools, are among the best ten best in the state.

State education ministry reported that of the 2,370 candidates registered in 2012 2,280 successfully completed while 90 failed to sit for the examinations.

A total of 1,850 candidates passed while 430 candidates failed the final examinations.

The Acting Director-General in the Ministry of Education Adelio Ojina Quinto said the overall performance improved, but some counties did not do well compared to Magwi.
