One of the parents, a father of two, has complaint about the huge disparities in school fees in Church and private schools and called on the government to regulate their charges.

Peter Alfred told CRN that the government should see into the issues of disparities in the school fees in the church and the private schools.

Mr Alfred added that for instance an underpaid parent who has seven children faces difficulties paying his children’s education.

Mr Alfred said he paid 710 South Sudanese pounds, including registration and uniform, for his primary one kid this year in African Inland Church School in Gudele.

He added that even in Juba, Catholic archdiocesan schools, the school fees greatly differ.

Mr Alfred explained that Saint Kizito Primary School charges 450 South Sudanese pounds per pupil compared to Saint Joseph which charges over 500 Pounds.

He said the government has to look into tuition fees for parents to achieve the goal of sending children to school.
