The youth of St Kizito Catholic Parish in Juba on Saturday received training on HIV and AIDS to build attitudes toward positive thinking.

Caritas program director Obur Kimu Adelio told Bakhita Radio that people risk to get infected with HIV if they do not control their desires and attitudes or have unprotected sex.

He appeals to all to submit to God to avoid sinning.

Mr Kimu said the Church needed to make the youth aware of risky behaviours that endanger life.

Participant Grace Kiden said the training was good because she learned how HIV spread and how to prevent it.

She called on the youth to abstain from sex, be faithful to their partners and test for AIDS before marriage.

Simon Jambi Celso said he learned how to make right decisions.

He advised his peers to have positive rather than negative thinking.

The one-day workshop was organised by Caritas and sponsored by Bakhita Radio to help the youth address the challenges of HIV AIDS.
