A peace conference was postponed in Tonj South County of Warrap State on Thursday because of the clashes between Tonj East and Tonj South County Youth.
MP Augustine Ageidit said there was a peace conference scheduled for the 14 February but it was postponed due to problems in the area, Don Bosco FM reported.He explained that the conference’s aim was to make peace among the people of Tonj South, Tonj East, and Tonj North and with neighbouring counties.
Mr Ageidit advised the people of Greater Tonj not to steal other people’s belongings and to stop the violence and killing of women.
He urged people of Greater Tonj to stop fighting and begin to cooperate together and work for peace and development in the country.
