Less than ten percent of the registered people have voted so far due to the delay of ballot materials and confusion in the last two days.
Many people cannot find their names on the provided lists and that is slowing the voting process.SPLM deputy secretary General for the Southern Sector, Anne Itto, told the press and the diplomatic corps last evening in Juba that the party has information that in some areas only two percent of the registered voters have cast their ballots so far.
Dr Itto affirmed that no violence has been registered among voters despite the many challenges they face to fulfil their right to take part in the polls.
The National Elections commission extended the days of voting until Thursday.
