An independent candidate for Western Equatoria governor says SPLA proper are targeting his agents in three counties.
Angelo Bakoter is the campaign manager of Joseph Bakosoro independent candidacy. He told SCR News correspondent that two campaign agents yesterday were arrested by SPLA soldiers and beaten.Mr, Bakoter added that SPLA soldiers invaded voting stations in Yambio and Tombora counties apparently to check on ballot boxes.
He added that in Naandi, traditional chiefs were telling voters to cast their ballots for the incumbent governor Gemma Nunu Kumba.
Another source told SCR News that there were problems with SPLA soldiers at voting centres in Nzara and Namako on Sunday morning.
