Many Zain users have stopped SIM cards registry in Rumbeke because they were charged five South Sudanese pounds.
They also complained during Saturday’s Good News Radio morning show that the Zain office is mobile and it is hard for customers to find it.Many Zain users have been left wondering why they have to pay five pounds to register.
The Rumbek Zain office could not be found to confirm the complaint.
On Thursday, Deputy Telecommunications Minister Beatrice Khamisa Wani told Bakhita Radio that the SIM card registration was free of charge.
The Ministry of Telecommunication and Postal services extended SIM card registration for another full month until February 28.
