The director of the education office in Tonj South County of Warrap State released the calendar for the 2013 school year.
Mayom Lual Bak said that the school year will begin on February 1 with the registration of students, Don Bosco FM reported.Lessons start one month later on March 1.
Mr Lual said private schools must follow the scholastic calendar.
He added that private schools have to be licensed and meet a number of requirements including the minimum of eight classes furbished with desks in order to operate.
Mr Lual said this year each family should contribute with one kilo of dura to the education office to support education.
He urged all parents and guardians to send their children to school because they are the future of South Sudan.
