The diocese of Yei of the Episcopal Church of the Sudan (ECS) is training over 300 youth leaders from all its parishes.
Conference organiser Kepo Moses John told radio Easter on Tuesday that the conference brought three representatives from each parish for training on managerial skills and spiritual teachings.He said the training would progress and wake up the rest of the inactive youth in developing the church and other social activities in the community.
Mr Moses urged parents to condemn the bad practices some youth are committing and instruct them to follow in the footsteps of Jesus Christ.
Augustino Lomoro Sarafino, a participant from Mongo Archdeaconry, said he learned about bible studies and he would implement it in his parish.
The conference under the theme “Let no one despise your youth age” is expected to conclude on Saturday.
