Nearly 1,000 people, mostly children and women, were displaced when fighting broke out during cattle raids in Tonj East and North counties of Warrap State earlier this month.

The OCHA Humanitarian Bulletin reported that the assessment established that the displaced people were in urgent need of food, livelihood support and medical assistance.

It added that medical supplies were already been delivered to the local health centres to improve services especially for the wounded and those in need of urgent medical attention.

Health partners will deploy additional health workers to meet the increasing demand for health services.
