Local authorities at Hai Atlabara area of Yei has on Monday night arrested a man alleged of committing adultery.
The vice head of Atlabara community, Steven Hakim Bullen, said he sent the area security men at five o’clock in the morning and surrounded the suspect√Ǭ´s house when he was about to escape, Radio Easter reported.He said the man was arrested at the neighbour’s home and taken to court without any torture.
Mr Hakim clarified that the suspect and the owner of the house who turned it to lodge agreed that the suspect committed adultery twice in her house.
Ezira Arike, the area headman, condemned the practices and called upon the residents to report any crime to the local court so that area traitors were dealt within the law.
He stressed that the case would be forwarded to the Payam office because it was out of the jurisdiction of the area court.
