The Governor of Western Equatoria has threatened to punished parents who do not send their children to school this academic year.
Bangasi Joseph Bakasoro told CRN that parents have to be punished because some people only hear when they are pressed and if parents are not forced they will see education as something optional.Mr Bakasoro emphasized that education is the right of every person and that every person in his state must go to school.
He said security is his top priority and that Western Equatoria must be a place of leisure and peace that accommodates everybody.
Mr Bakasoro said women are not to be given 25 percent, but have to compete after getting education.
He said every woman must go to school in order to compete with men.
The Governor said this year Western Equatoria state is embarking on security, agriculture and education.
