The Government has announced a reconciliation conference to heal the war wounds in South Sudan.

Government spokesperson Barnaba Marial Benjamin told the press on Friday that the Council of Ministers approved a reconciliation conference to take place in April.

He said the reconciliation process starts in January with the mapping of conflict areas.

Dr Marial said international experts will be invited, including Archbishop Desmond Tutu of South Africa and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

The conference will cost eight million South Sudanese pounds.
