Cattle rustling activities in Tonj East and North counties of Warrap State on January 3 left 16 people dead and 17 injured.
UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs reported in its weekly bulletin that an unconfirmed number of people were displaced to several villages in Tonj East.The bulletin said a rapid inter-agency humanitarian assessment was planned from January 9 to 12 to assess the needs of the people displaced by the cattle raids.
It added that in the meantime, partners on the ground are providing health support to the injured.
