Eastern Equatoria Legislative Assembly opened its first sitting after Christmas holidays on Monday but adjourned the session due to lack of quorum.
Twenty one MPs turned up at the Assembly for the first day of the new session, Radio Emmanuel reported.Speaker Ambrose Emmanuel Ocholimoi said most MPs representing the Toposa community were attending an urgent meeting in Kapoeta South.
Eastern Equatoria parliament has 49 MPs and needs 26 present in the House in order to have a quorum to operate.
