TORIT EXPECTS PEACE, BETTER SERVICES IN 2013

A cross section of Torit residents expects e peace to prevail this year and the government to improve on basic services delivery.

Thomas Atari, a civil servant in the state government, told Radio Emmanuel that peaceful co-existence was a pre-requisite for development.

He underlined the need of good governance, improvement of security and basic services like health care, roads, schools, water and sanitation.

Mr Atari urged cattle raiders and road attackers to stop their activities to make 2013 a peaceful year.

He appealed to the governments to resolve last year’s issues and challenges and focus on equitable distribution of resources.

Achiro Hellene Victor, another civil servant, said she expected a better road network to allow the transportation of commodities from the counties to the state capital.

Pastor Molongola said people do not need selected services but full services.

He added that he expected austerity to be over soon.
