Christians need to pray for their priest to strengthen them in the ministry.
This was the call made by Joseph Ukelo, former Vicar general of the Catholic Diocese of Torit, during his Sunday homily, Radio Emmanuel reported.Fr Ukelo was commenting of the ten years of priesthood of Santino Lounoi, the director of Radio Emmanuel.
He said ten years in the priesthood are not easy to reach as several priests leave the vocation due to challenges while others continue to persevere.
Fr Ukelo called on Christians to pray for the remaining priests so that God strengthens them to serve their people.
He also urged Christians to contribute for the welfare of their priests.
On Saturday, Santino Lounoi celebrated ten years of priesthood with a reflection on the challenges and mysteries of his vocation.
He recounted that since ordination, some of his colleagues died or left priesthood while others remaining in the ministry, witnessing the mysteries and challenges of priesthood.
