A resident in Rumbek Central County of Lakes State called for a collective effort in 2013 to eliminate issues such as cattle raiding, tribal conflicts and girl-child marriages in the state.
Justin Marial Mathok told Good News Radio on Saturday that such issues cannot be eliminated by one person.Marial said the youth should work hard to resolve the issues which are affecting development in the state.
He urged cattle keepers to be happy with the animals they had and refrain from raiding.
Mr Marial acknowledge the importance of the youth in the development of the state.
He said that the youth can only overcome those challenges if they united.
Mr Marial added that the youth had a role to educate the community on the importance of life.
He called on the youth to be peace mediators in their respective communities.
Mr Marial appealed to all the youths to be free from all the conflicts that are dividing them.
He urged the youths to respect their elders.
Mr Marial said he dreamed with a country free of corruption in 2013.
