An MP representing Western Equatoria at the National Assembly has urged citizens to pray for their leaders during 2013.
Anthony Lino Makana said he thanked God for celebrating the New Year among his people in Yambio and appealed to them to begin the New Year reconciling themselves, Anisa Radio reported.
He asked all citizens to pray hard for both the state governor to pursue his priorities and maintain peace and for the President of the Republic to continue struggling with the outstanding issues to make South Sudan a better place.
Mr Makana congratulated the catholics of Tombura-Yambio diocese for a successful Centenary Celebration on December 12 in Mupoi.
He urged the faithful to go out and evangelize the rest of the people in South Sudan to teach them about salvation and peace.
The MP called on the citizens to keep up agriculture and give thanks to God for granting peace by removing the Lord’s Resistance Army from Western Equatoria State.
