In his Christmas message delivered on Sunday, President Salva Kiir Mayardit send also condolences to the families that lost their loved ones to criminal activities in the major towns of South Sudan.
President Kiir said the government has deployed adequate security personnel to ensure that criminals do not interrupt peace and tranquillity during the Christmas celebrations.
He said the government regret the loss of lives at this time of celebration and that the government has instituted investigations into specific cases to bring the perpetrators to justice.
President Kiir expressed his heartfelt condolences especially for those who lost their lives and properties in the recent spate of killings in Juba and Wau towns.
