The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Torit appeals to Turkana community of Kenya to extent love to the missionaries working in their area to realize development.
Johnson Akio Mutek said development can never be achieved without love and hard work in the community.He encouraged the Turkana community to work with their priests to achieve peace.
Akio also called for changing hearts among the Turkana to attract development opportunities, urging the young people to pursue education and love the church.
The bishop stressed to the pastoralists communities to bring a change to the region by considering each other as brothers for realization of peace and development.
The Bishop was talking at Lobur Mission Turkana North – Lodwa Diocese, about 300 kilometres north of Lodwa town.
