The road linking Yei River County to Maridi and Greater Bahr-el Ghazel states has officially opened on Friday.
The road usage came to a standstill because Kanjaro main Bridge broke down due heavy rain last month.Speaking during the official launch, the State Minister for Physical Infrastructure Suba Samuel said the roads have economic and social significance as it eases traffic flow to and from other parts of the country.
The Commissioner of Yei River County, Juma David Augustine expressed his happiness on the reopening of the road.
He added that the road will help to link the citizens of Yei County to Western Equatoria and Greater Bahr El-Ghazal states.
Wake Remo Construction Company last week reconstructed the Bridge at the cost of 200,000 South Sudanese Pounds.
