Eastern Equatorial State is encouraging civil society organizations and other stakeholders to actively participate in peace building activities.
The State Peace Commission Chairman, Joseph Kamilo Napeingoiro made the statement on Thursday during the opening of peace and reconciliation strategy workshop in Torit.Napeingoiro said the workshop armed at identifying and setting priorities of conflict issues in the state.
He said recommendations and resolutions of the workshop will be important for the state interventions on conflict issues.
Representatives of the state government, civil society organizations and United Nations agencies are attending the two days peace and reconciliation strategy workshop.
