NO MILITIAS IN EASTERN EQUATORIA STATE

Eastern Equatoria State Deputy Governor Jerome Gama Surur disputed claims of militias that the state is free of any ill activities against the government.

Representing Eastern Equatoria state Governor, Louis Lobong at the second governors’ forum in Juba on Thursday, he refuted the recent allegation by Michael Losike; a member of Council of State that Eastern Equatoria was recruiting militia groups.

The deputy governor said Eastern Equatoria state cannot host any single militias activity.

He told to forum that Eastern Equatoria has much focus on security, good governance, food security, infrastructure and social services among many others.

The Vice President Riek Machar Teny applauded Eastern Equatoria State for the tangible developmental achievement.
