Wau County Commissioner has set plans to rehabilitate two historic agricultural schemes in Baggari.

Elia Kamilo Dimo said revealed that the two agricultural schemes have been prioritized in the County’s next year’s plan and they will be consolidated in April, Voice of Peace Radio reported

He said the two agricultural schemes of Tagotivim and N’gosulugu were not operational as a result of the long civil war.

Mr Kamilo said the schemes will produce maize, groundnuts, and other local food varieties.

The Commissioner lamented the lack of schools in the area despite the vast population living in Baggari.

He said Baggari is one of the areas without primary and secondary schools in the state, but he pledged to improve the condition.

Mr. Kamilo also lamented that the three Payams of Baggari, Basilia and Bassia have no markets and communication networks.

He pointed out that there were no plans made by the former County leaders to delivery basic services.

He called on the youth to refrain from unnecessary oppositions that can not allow proper service provision.
