Rumbek Catholic Diocese Administrator has announced on Thursday that the fourth Diocesan youth congress under the theme “Faith in Jesus opens doors” will start on Thursday December 20.
Fr. Colombo Fernando told Good News Radio on Friday that the congress will with the the congress will start with arrival of the youth from their various Parishes.He said the fourth congress should be celebrated as a new step for the building of the new nation of South Sudan.
Fr. Colombo disclosed that faith is an encounter and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
He stated that faith in Jesus Christ brings about constructive human encounters including relationship with those considered as enemies.
Fr. Colombo also stated that Christians should use the year of faith to renew their faith and evangelize others.
The Administrator stressed that people should know that the Gospel is the personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The twelve Parishes of the Catholic Diocese of Rumbek are expected to send 40 to 50 youth for the celebration.
