A Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the Sudan (ECS) Rumbek Diocese has urged the clergy from the different churches to be agents of peace by preaching peace countrywide.
Bishop Alphayo Manyang de Kuctiel said peace must be cultivated by all heads of the Dioceses including bishops, Priests and the Christians.He lamented that lack of peace in the country is hindering the development not only in the States, but also in the country.
He explained the resources which government proposed for the development is being poured to the security purposes.
Bishop Manyang also lamented that lack of peace in South Sudan has hindered the evangelization and this is very bad.
He said lack of peace is decreasing the number of people who would contribute to the development of the country.
Bishop Alphayo called on the people of Lakes State to be in harmony with one another during the season of advent as Christmas is drawing near.
The Bishop returned to Rumbek on Monday after attending a meeting in Maridi Western Equatoria State.
